Abstract

This article investigates the multifaceted impact of technology on language use and evolution. Employing a mixed-methods approach, including corpus analysis of digital communication and surveys of diverse user groups, we examine how technological platforms and practices influence linguistic patterns, vocabulary development, and the emergence of new communicative norms. Our findings reveal significant shifts in language economy, the proliferation of visual communication, and the acceleration of linguistic change, highlighting the dynamic interplay between technology and language in the digital age.
