FORGIVENESS IN FOCUS: INSIGHTS FROM CHILD AND YOUTH CARE STUDENTS - A QUALITATIVE COURSE-BASED RESEARCH STUDY
Abstract
This qualitative course-based research study delves into the perspectives and practices of forgiveness among Child and Youth Care students. Drawing upon in-depth interviews and reflective analyses, the research examines how students conceptualize forgiveness, their personal experiences with forgiveness, and its application within their professional roles. Through thematic analysis, the study uncovers diverse perspectives and nuanced understandings of forgiveness within the context of child and youth care. Findings shed light on the challenges, strategies, and transformative potentials of forgiveness in supporting the well-being and development of children and youth in care settings.
