Rasulov Mukhammad Bobur Fazliddin ugli , Independent Researcher of Tashkent State University of Economics, Uzbekistan

Abstract

This study empirically analyzes the dynamics of asset quality (NPL) in the banking system of Uzbekistan between 2019 and 2024. The analysis reveals that the NPL ratio is linked to economic cycles, credit expansion, and institutional differences between banks (state/private). The study proposes a conceptual model that integrates foreign and local approaches. Recommendations include strengthening macroprudential policy to ensure financial stability.
