DEVELOPMENT OF SOCIALLY ACTIVE CIVIC COMPETENCE OF STUDENTS BASED ON THE TEACHING OF "HISTORY OF UZBEKISTAN"
Abstract
The teaching of "History of Uzbekistan" presents a unique opportunity to cultivate socially active civic competence among students. This article explores the integration of civic education within the curriculum of history courses and its role in fostering civic engagement, social responsibility, and active citizenship. By studying key historical events, figures, and movements, students gain insights into Uzbekistan's rich heritage and develop critical thinking skills, empathy, and cross-cultural understanding. Through service-learning projects, volunteer opportunities, and community partnerships, students apply their knowledge and skills to address contemporary issues and contribute to positive social change.
