After analyzing the results, the results showed that the students of the experimental group outperformed the students of the control group in the post-test of reading comprehension skills. In light of the results, the researcher concluded that there is a clear relationship between syntactic awareness and the development of reading comprehension skills. The researcher recommended adopting the proposed strategy in teaching reading in... The preparatory stage. The researcher also suggested testing the effectiveness of the strategy in other variables.
