TRANSLATING THE UNCHARTED: CHALLENGES IN NAVIGATING NEOLOGY THROUGH A COMPARATIVE LENS OF HUMAN AND MACHINE TRANSLATION
Abstract
This research delves into the intricate realm of translating neologisms, uncovering the challenges encountered in both human and machine translation processes. Neologisms, representing newly coined or adapted words, present unique hurdles due to their evolving nature and context-specific usage. Through a comparative lens, this study explores the nuanced difficulties faced by human translators and machine translation systems in rendering neologisms accurately. Employing a mixed-methods approach, including qualitative analysis and evaluation metrics, the research aims to contribute insights into the adaptability and limitations of current translation methods in handling the ever-evolving linguistic landscape.
