Article Correction Policy

Oscar Publishing Services is committed to maintaining the accuracy, reliability, and integrity of the scholarly record. We recognize that errors can occur after publication, and we have established a clear policy to address corrections, retractions, and updates in our journals.

Types of Corrections

  1. Erratum (Publisher’s Error):
Issued when a significant error is introduced by the publisher during production (e.g., typographical errors, formatting issues, incorrect author details). An erratum will be published and linked to the original article.

  2. Corrigendum (Author’s Error):
Issued when a significant error is made by the author(s) (e.g., errors in data, analysis, or conclusions) that affects the article’s accuracy but does not invalidate its findings. A corrigendum will be published and linked to the original article.

  3. Retraction:
Issued when a serious issue is identified that invalidates the article’s findings or if there is evidence of research misconduct, plagiarism, or ethical violations. The retraction notice will clearly state the reasons and remain linked to the original article, which will be marked as retracted.

  4. Addendum:
Issued to provide additional information or clarification that does not alter the original conclusions of the article. An addendum will be published and linked to the original article.

Correction Process

  • Request Submission:
Authors, readers, or editors can report errors by contacting the editorial office of the respective journal. All requests should clearly specify the nature and location of the error.

  • Assessment:
The editorial team will assess the reported error and determine the appropriate course of action (erratum, corrigendum, addendum, or retraction), in consultation with the authors and, if necessary, external reviewers.

  • Publication of Correction:
Once verified, the appropriate correction notice will be published online, linked to the original article, and indexed for transparency.

Transparency and Integrity

  • All corrections, retractions, and addenda will be freely accessible and clearly identified.

  • Oscar Publishing Services is committed to prompt correction of the scholarly record to ensure the highest standards of academic integrity.
