Abstract

This article analyzes the interaction between pop piano performance and jazz music. It will show how the rich rhythmic and harmonic system of jazz influenced the piano styles of pop music. Similar and different aspects of performance styles and techniques, jazz improvisation and pop piano techniques are also studied. The article attempts to analyze musical bridges between modern pop performance and classical jazz music.
