Abstract

Adolescence is a critical developmental stage characterized by intense emotional experiences, psychological instability, and increased vulnerability to stress. The ability to regulate emotions plays a crucial role in adolescents’ mental well-being, social adjustment, and academic functioning. This study aims to examine the psychological foundations of emotional regulation skills in adolescents and to evaluate the effectiveness of structured psychological interventions designed to enhance these skills. Using a mixed-methods approach, including observation, self-report measures, and psychological training sessions, the study explores changes in adolescents’ emotional awareness, self-control, and social behavior. The findings indicate that targeted psychological interventions significantly improve adolescents’ emotional regulation abilities, reduce impulsive reactions, and enhance emotional stability. The results highlight the importance of integrating emotional regulation training into educational and psychological support programs.
