Abstract

This article investigates the cultural and social significance of folk musical instruments in ancient human societies. It examines how traditional instruments were used not only for entertainment but also in rituals, religious ceremonies, communication, and everyday life. Drawing on archaeological findings and historical records, the study highlights the symbolic meanings attributed to various instruments and their role in expressing communal identity and spiritual beliefs. The article also emphasizes how music, through folk instruments, served as a means of preserving oral history and transmitting cultural values across generations.
