Cultural Connotations And Their Impact On Translation
Abstract
This article explores the role of cultural connotations in the translation process. Cultural connotations express the deep meanings and emotional layers of linguistic units, and considering them in translation is crucial for preserving the text's meaning, style, and rhetorical impact. The study demonstrates that in translation, properly adapting cultural connotations, finding equivalents, or providing explanations ensures that the text becomes comprehensible and impactful for the target audience.
