Abstract

This article examines the linguistic and cultural features of proverbs that express notions of labor activity in English and Karakalpak languages. By analyzing a selection of proverbs from both languages, this article aims to highlight the similarities and differences in how labor activity is conceptualized and verbalized, taking into account the cultural nuances that shape attitudes towards work.
