Digital Transformation of Craft Education: The EHMK Platform Experience

Digital transformation craft education EHMK platform

This article examines the pedagogical, methodological, and organizational aspects of the digital transformation of craft education based on the experience of the EHMK platform. The widespread integration of digital technologies into the modern educational environment creates new opportunities for improving the teaching of national craftsmanship traditions, developing practical skills, and fostering professional competencies. In this context, the article analyzes the didactic potential of integrating traditional craft education with digital learning tools, the effectiveness of electronic educational resources, and approaches to organizing students’ independent learning activities. Furthermore, the pedagogical significance of the EHMK platform is assessed in terms of integrating theoretical knowledge of craftsmanship with practical activities, expanding access to learning materials, and ensuring continuity in the educational process. The study identifies and substantiates the factors through which the digital learning environment can contribute to the development of learners’ creative thinking, independent decision-making, design skills, and ability to solve practical problems. The findings of the article may contribute to the modernization of craft education through digital technologies, the integration of national applied arts heritage with contemporary pedagogical approaches, and the improvement of the professional training of prospective technology teachers.
