This article theoretically substantiates a model for the formation of deontological competencies in future primary school teachers under the conditions of competency-based education. The essence and content of deontological competence, its structural components, and its significance in professional pedagogical activity are analyzed. Particular attention is given to the target, content-based, technological, and assessment components of the model aimed at developing professional duty, pedagogical ethics, responsibility, communication culture, and moral values in future teachers. The research findings contribute to increasing the effectiveness of forming deontological competencies on the basis of the competency-based approach.
