Developing effective communication skills is a fundamental prerequisite for academic achievement, social participation, and personal well-being. Students with motor disabilities often face significant barriers to verbal communication due to impairments affecting speech production, motor control, and social interaction. Augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) has emerged as an evidence-based approach that enables individuals with complex communication needs to more actively participate in educational and social settings. This article examines current views on the use of AAC for students with motor disabilities, analyzes the theoretical underpinnings of AAC interventions, and discusses the impact of AAC technologies on communicative competence, educational inclusion, and quality of life. Particular attention is given to digital AAC systems, interdisciplinary collaboration, and challenges associated with implementation in inclusive educational settings. The results demonstrate that the systematic integration of AAC significantly improves communicative participation, academic engagement, and social integration among students with motor disabilities.
