This article reflects upon and discusses modern trends in developing critical thinking in higher education institutions. In the contemporary globalized knowledge economy, the core mission of higher education is undergoing a fundamental transformation, shifting its primary focus from factual memorization toward the development of higher-order cognitive capacities. It examines the structured integration of digital technologies, advanced active learning methodologies, and cross disciplinary frameworks, while highlighting the necessary evolution of university educators from traditional information transmitters into sophisticated cognitive facilitators.
