Mind Map non-standard thinking creative thinking

This article examines the pedagogical significance of using Mind Map technology in teaching laser physics and its role in developing students’ non-standard thinking skills. During the study, complex theoretical concepts of laser physics, including stimulated emission, laser types, quantum transitions, and practical applications of laser technologies, were systematically analyzed through Mind Maps. The article reveals the advantages of intellectual maps as a visual educational technology and demonstrates their effectiveness in strengthening students’ knowledge, developing logical reasoning, and fostering creative thinking.

The study also analyzes the differences between traditional and innovative approaches to teaching laser physics and substantiates the positive impact of Mind Map technology on students’ independent thinking, creative problem-solving, and holistic understanding of complex physical processes. Research findings indicate that the use of Mind Maps increases students’ classroom engagement, supports deeper understanding of the topics, and serves as an effective pedagogical tool for developing non-standard thinking skills. The article contributes to improving the teaching of physics in higher educational institutions through innovative educational technologies.
