The development of coordination abilities in young badminton players is one of the decisive conditions for successful technical mastery, movement efficiency, and long-term sports improvement. Badminton is characterized by rapid changes of direction, repeated accelerations and decelerations, precise racket-shuttle interaction, dynamic balance, and the continuous adjustment of movement under time pressure. For this reason, the training process at the initial and preliminary basic stages should include special physical exercises aimed not only at general fitness but also at the purposeful development of sport-specific coordination. The purpose of this article is to substantiate a methodology for developing coordination abilities in young badminton players through special physical exercises and to describe the content, sequence, and pedagogical conditions of their application. The methodological basis of the article consists of theoretical analysis, comparative synthesis of scientific publications on youth training, badminton conditioning, neuromuscular development, balance, agility, and motor control, as well as structural modeling of a training program for athletes aged 10–14 years. The study proposes a methodology based on the gradual complication of motor tasks, the integration of footwork with visual and reaction stimuli, the combination of balance and plyometric means, and the transfer of improved coordination into badminton-specific technical actions. It is argued that the most effective methodology is built on the principles of age appropriateness, variability, progression, specificity, and continuity. The article presents an example of a twelve-week training model that can be integrated into weekly badminton practice without overloading young athletes. The proposed approach contributes to improving spatial orientation, movement differentiation, rhythm, balance, reaction speed, change-of-direction quality, and the stability of technical performance during play. The practical significance of the article lies in the possibility of using the proposed methodology in sports schools, badminton clubs, and youth training centers.
