The rapid expansion of private higher education institutions in Uzbekistan has significantly transformed the national higher education landscape and increased competition among universities. In this increasingly competitive environment, ensuring educational service quality and achieving high levels of student satisfaction have become essential factors influencing institutional reputation, attractiveness, and long-term competitiveness. This conceptual study examines the relationship between educational service quality, student satisfaction, and the competitiveness of private higher education institutions in Uzbekistan through a review of recent international and regional literature.

The study adopts a qualitative literature-based approach by analyzing previous research on higher education service quality, student satisfaction, institutional competitiveness, and innovative management practices. The reviewed literature indicates that dimensions of educational service quality, including academic services, administrative support, digital infrastructure, learning environments, and institutional responsiveness, significantly influence students’ perceptions and satisfaction. Furthermore, satisfied students contribute to positive institutional reputation, student loyalty, and competitive advantage in the higher education market.

The findings suggest that private universities in Uzbekistan should move beyond traditional educational delivery models and focus on student-centered management, continuous quality improvement, digital transformation, and effective institutional governance. Based on the reviewed studies, a conceptual framework is proposed in which educational service quality influences student satisfaction, which subsequently contributes to the competitiveness of private higher education institutions.

This study provides theoretical and practical implications for university administrators, policymakers, and higher education managers seeking to strengthen the position of private universities within Uzbekistan’s evolving educational market.
