The rapid advancement of digital technologies has significantly transformed the global economy, making artificial intelligence (AI) one of the key drivers of sustainable economic growth and digital transformation. This study examines the strategic role of artificial intelligence technologies in advancing the digital economy by analyzing their impact on productivity, innovation, governance efficiency, and national competitiveness. The research explores the application of AI across various sectors, including manufacturing, finance, agriculture, healthcare, education, and public administration. Furthermore, a comparative analysis of AI development strategies implemented in the United States, China, South Korea, Singapore, the European Union, and Uzbekistan is conducted to identify best practices and policy implications.
The findings indicate that successful AI implementation depends not only on technological advancement but also on the development of digital infrastructure, supportive government policies, research and innovation ecosystems, investment capacity, and human capital. Based on the research findings, several practical recommendations are proposed to enhance AI integration into Uzbekistan's digital economy. These recommendations include strengthening national AI infrastructure, supporting scientific research and innovation, developing skilled human resources, improving digital governance, and encouraging collaboration among government institutions, universities, and the private sector. The study concludes that the effective implementation of artificial intelligence technologies can significantly improve economic efficiency, stimulate innovation, and strengthen the country's competitiveness in the global digital economy.
