Big Data analytics smart tourism tourism service efficiency digital transformation

This study examines the transformative potential of Big Data technologies in optimizing the efficiency of tourism services in Uzbekistan. Amidst the "Digital Uzbekistan – 2030" strategy, the tourism sector faces the challenge of transitioning from quantitative growth to qualitative efficiency. This paper employs a mixed-methodological approach, integrating Data Envelopment Analysis and the Integral Index method to evaluate how data-driven insights influence operational performance and visitor satisfaction. By analyzing case studies from Samarkand and other major destinations, the research demonstrates that Big Data analytics—including predictive modeling of tourist flows and sentiment analysis of social media—can significantly enhance service personalization and resource allocation. The findings suggest that integrating Big Data into tourism management frameworks can improve operational efficiency by up to 20%, providing a roadmap for sustainable tourism development in developing economies.
