Abstract

The research explores the manuscript copies of Ibn Battuta’s travelogue, a significant historical source documenting the medieval Islamic world’s cultural, political, and geographical diversity. By analyzing the various manuscripts – their origins, variations, and historical contexts – the study sheds light on the transmission and preservation of knowledge in the Islamic world. This work also addresses the challenges of textual inconsistencies and the impact of such variations on historical interpretations. Ultimately, the research aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of the manuscript’s significance in historiography and their contribution to global historical studies.
