This article highlights that under extremely difficult conditions for the country and the people, Uzbek rural workers successfully accomplished this complex task and achieved significant results by 1945. Along with large industrial enterprises, scientific, educational, and cultural institutions were evacuated to Uzbekistan from the western regions of the Union. In addition, thousands of homeless families and orphaned young children who had lost their parents were also evacuated. It is reported that a total of about 3 million people were relocated to Central Asia.
