This article analyzes the role and activities of female diplomats in the foreign policy and diplomatic system of the Republic of Korea. In particular, it examines the lives and professional careers of several prominent women who have actively contributed to the diplomatic sphere of the Republic of Korea. The article provides a detailed overview of how these women entered the field of diplomacy and the contributions they made to the development of the sector. Furthermore, it discusses the changes their activities brought to South Korea’s diplomatic sphere, as well as their achievements not only in diplomacy but also in academic and intellectual fields. The presence of such women diplomats further strengthens the distinctive characteristics and international image of South Korean diplomacy.
