This research comprehensively analyzes the dynamics of social capital in Uzbekistan, its formation, development, and role in society under the influence of the mahalla institution. The study examines the components of social capital - trust, normative rules, and social networks - and investigates how they manifest and evolve specifically within the context of the mahalla. By assessing the impact of economic reforms, urbanization processes, and globalization on social capital through the mahalla, the research demonstrates the significance of social capital in economic growth, civil society development, and improving the population's well-being. The findings will serve as a foundation for developing policy recommendations to enhance social capital by strengthening the mahalla institution in Uzbekistan.
