The article analyzes the historical evolution of the concepts of gender and gender equality, as well as their significance in modern society. It examines the distinction between gender and biological sex, the various interpretations of gender equality, and the impact of gender stereotypes on society. The aim of the article is to identify the main trends and prospects for ensuring gender equality.
