In this article, we will explore the role of natural resource management in the concept of sustainable development, as well as the consequences of the contemporary environmental crisis caused by excessive consumption of natural resources. We will also analyze the state of our planet's ecosystems in the early 21st century, examine natural disasters, their dynamics, and the reasons for changes in Earth's climate on both long and short-term scales.
