Abstract
Cognitive stylistics is distinguished by its distinctive methodology, which involves the systemic analysis of language through the lens of theories that link linguistic choices to cognitive structures and processes. Cognitive stylistics, a sub-discipline of linguistics, is the branch of the discipline concerned with the relationship between language and cognitive processes such as perception, comprehension, memory and thinking. The objective of this study is to ascertain the manner in which cognitive mechanisms influence linguistic phenomena, including text structure, the selection of linguistic devices, the utilisation of metaphors, metonymy and other linguistic techniques.
