Abstract
This paper investigates the semantic and cultural functions of proper nouns in English and Uzbek languages from a comparative linguocultural perspective. The study analyzes how proper names reflect national identity, worldview, and social norms. The research reveals that English proper nouns tend to highlight individuality and historical continuity, while Uzbek ones emphasize kinship, spirituality, and moral values.
