EXPLORING CHANGES IN VALENCY STRUCTURE OF VERBS IN ENGLISH AND UZBEK: A COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS
Abstract
This comprehensive article delves into the intriguing realm of valency structure, focusing on the changes observed in verbs in the English and Uzbek languages. Valency, a crucial aspect of syntax in linguistics, refers to the number of arguments a verb can take. By examining the valency patterns in these two distinct languages, we aim to shed light on how verb constructions evolve over time and space, offering insights into the structural variations and syntactic peculiarities that characterize English and Uzbek. Through a comparative analysis, this article seeks to uncover the similarities and differences in valency structures, elucidating the dynamic nature of language and the intricate mechanisms that underlie verb usage in these linguistic systems.
