This article deals with the concept of the literary chronotope and its poetic features occurring  in modern novels.  The following article analyses topical problems of modern literary criticism, the essence, theoretical foundations of the forms of the chronotope, the influence and connection of genre evolution on the storyline, the architecture of a work of art, the basis for creating a plot, drawing up a composition based on the author’s creative intent and the ideological content of a work of art and the perception of reality in the work as a literary process.
