This article examines the specific features of the institution of administrative liability of officials who have committed administrative offenses. It analyzes the legal status of an official as a subject of an administrative offense, the characteristics distinguishing officials as special subjects, and the relationship between their official powers, duties, and administrative liability. Particular attention is paid to the qualification of administrative offenses committed by officials through action or omission, the determination of guilt, the distinction between administrative, disciplinary, and criminal liability, the individualization of administrative sanctions, and existing problems in law enforcement practice in this area. Based on the findings of the study, scientific and practical proposals aimed at improving the administrative liability of officials are developed.
