National And Cultural Characteristics Of Adjective Lexicon In English And Uzbek
Abstract
This article explores the national and cultural characteristics of the adjective lexicon in English and Uzbek languages through comparative linguistic and cultural analysis. Drawing upon examples from classical and modern literary works, it demonstrates how adjectives function as indicators of moral, emotional, and social values embedded in the collective consciousness of each nation. The study reveals that English adjectives typically reflect individualism, emotional restraint, and moral autonomy, while Uzbek adjectives emphasize collectivism, hospitality, and interpersonal harmony.
