Language norms language standardization linguistic change

The paper addresses the concept of language norms, their function in the maintenance of linguistic order, and the challenges they face in the modern world. It analyzes the impact of globalization, electronic communication, and social change on these norms, leading to increased linguistic diversity and debates on standardization. The article appeals for a balance between respect for the evolution of language and the necessity to maintain clarity and intelligibility.
