This study explores the structural comparative analysis of the chronotope in the short story genre, focusing on the relationship between time and space within narrative structures. By examining key works from various literary traditions, the study aims to identify the role of chronotope in shaping the plot, character development, and thematic concerns. Drawing on Mikhail Bakhtin's theory of chronotope, the paper compares different narrative techniques and how they utilize temporal and spatial elements to convey meaning in the short story genre. The findings suggest that the chronotope serves not only as a tool for structuring narrative but also as a lens through which the social, cultural, and historical contexts of the story can be understood. This research contributes to a deeper understanding of narrative structures and the interplay between time, space, and storytelling.
