In the article, the distinctive mastery of word usage of Javlon Jovliyev, a writer who has his own place in modern Uzbek prose, is linguopoetically studied on the basis of the work “Qo‘rqma”. In the research, the syntactic construction and textual tone characteristic of the writer’s idiostyle, different from the traditional prose style, are analyzed. The psychological state of the characters in the author’s works, the role and function of linguistic units, inversion (word order), as well as the mastery of emotional-expressive expression are revealed through specific examples. In the article, the new lyrical-dramatic tone in Uzbek artistic syntax and the aesthetic possibilities of syntactic units in the texts of literary works are studied.
