Tours to technical facilities are one of the important directions of modern tourism and education. During such visits, participants are provided with information about the activities of the enterprise, production processes, technological equipment and innovative solutions. The role of the guide-translator in this process is of particular importance. The article analyzes the practical aspects of the activities of the guide-translator during visits to technical facilities, their communicative competencies, terminological training, tasks in organizing excursions, and issues of using modern technologies. Also, practical proposals are developed to improve the effectiveness of technical excursions.
