This study explores the historical evolution, conceptual transformations, and modern structural adaptations of publicistic genres in journalism. Drawing upon classical rhetoric, Soviet-era press traditions, and modern media environments, the article analyzes the theoretical demarcation between literature and journalism. Special attention is dedicated to the contemporary convergence of genres, the rising dominance of “format” over traditional “genre” the phenomenon of “longform journalism” (slow Journalism), and the satirical structural framework (framing) applied in virtual spaces, currently synthesized under the term “Publicism 2.0.”
