The role of translation in the development of every nation’s literature is invaluable. Today, it can be said that the history of literature and the history of translation are equally ancient arts. The famous poet Hamid Olimjon was also a talented translator. He made a worthy contribution to the development of Uzbek literature by translating outstanding works of world literature. This article discusses the poet’s translation skills.
