This analytical article explores the potential of Software Defined Networking (SDN) technology in automating network management, in particular from the perspective of integrating artificial intelligence and machine learning algorithms. The principle of separating the control and data planes of the SDN architecture allows for centralization of network management and software flexibility. The article analyzes advanced algorithmic approaches to optimal controller placement, dynamic traffic management, predictive allocation of network resources, and closed-loop automation mechanisms. It also discusses the problems, limitations, and future research directions in the practical implementation of intelligent algorithms.
