CRAS aphthous stomatitis autoimmunity,

Chronic recurrent aphthous stomatitis (CRAS) is a widespread disease of the oral mucosa characterized by a recurrent course and diverse clinical manifestations. The study analyzed the role of autoimmune, gastroenterological, and viral factors in the formation of the clinical picture of the disease. It was found that the severity of symptoms, depth of lesions, and duration of healing of aphthous elements depend on the predominant etiopathogenetic mechanism. It was shown that a comprehensive diagnostic approach improves treatment effectiveness and reduces the frequency of relapses.
