Integration of Neologisms in Uzbek Language
Abstract
Linguists, educators, and politicians are debating the increase of neologisms in the Uzbek language. In this scientific article, a number of characteristics related to the integration of neologisms in the Uzbek language will be examined. Some clear examples will be provided to discuss the phenomenon in a scientific approach. The article further examines the key challenges associated with the integration of neologisms into the Uzbek language, including issues of standardization, generational differences, and translation difficulties. It outlines the role of institutional regulation and language policy in managing lexical innovation while maintaining linguistic identity. Particular attention is given to the interaction between internal word-formation processes and external borrowings, especially from English and Russian. The study also highlights the influence of media, education, and digital communication in spreading new lexical units. Overall, the paper emphasizes the need for a balanced approach that supports both linguistic modernization and the preservation of national language norms.
