Brothers Grimm fairy tale Little Red Riding Hood

This article examines the representation of linguopoetic features in Uzbek translations of the fairy tales of the Brothers Grimm. The main research material is the German fairy tale “Rotkäppchen” (“Little Red Riding Hood”) and its Uzbek translation. The German original and the Uzbek translation are comparatively analyzed from lexical-semantic, phraseological, syntactic, stylistic and folklore-poetic perspectives. The study demonstrates that repetition, syntactic parallelism, dialogue structures, conventional fairy-tale formulas, color symbolism, diminutive and affectionate expressions, as well as figurative language constitute important elements of the linguopoetic organization of the fairy tale.
