This article analyzes the main factors shaping pharmaceutical discourse and examines its specific linguistic features. Pharmaceutical discourse is viewed as a specialized type of professional communication that encompasses interactions among pharmacists, physicians, pharmaceutical manufacturers, patients, and regulatory institutions. The study identifies professional, scientific, technological, social, communicative, cognitive, and institutional factors influencing the formation and development of pharmaceutical discourse. Particular attention is given to terminological density, lexical-semantic precision, the use of specialized and international terms, abbreviations, concise syntactic constructions, modal and imperative structures, and pragmatic orientation. The analysis shows that pharmaceutical discourse is distinguished by accuracy, clarity, standardization, informativeness, and communicative efficiency. The study concludes that its linguistic organization is determined by the interaction of professional knowledge, communicative purposes, social roles, and institutional contexts.
