This article examines the transformation of plot structure in the fairy-tale novella within Karakalpak literature, focusing on the interaction between traditional folklore patterns and modern literary principles. The study analyzes changes in narrative sequence, conflict, characterization, time, space, supernatural motifs, and endings. Particular attention is given to the transformation of traditional heroic plots into psychologically complex narratives. The analysis demonstrates that modern Karakalpak fairy-tale prose does not reject folklore traditions but creatively reinterprets them, combining cultural memory with new aesthetic, social, and philosophical meanings.
