The article examines the issue of developing dialectological and dialectographic research within an anthropocentric paradigm through the concept of the dialectal linguistic personality. Whereas traditional dialectology has focused on describing the phonetic, lexical and grammatical features of dialects, this study argues for the necessity of analysing dialectal units in an inseparable connection with the individual who actualises them. The aim of the study is to develop the methodological foundations for describing the dialectal linguistic personality as an independent object of dialectological and dialectographic research. The study utilised descriptive, comparative-analytical, anthropocentric, sociolinguistic, and linguopersonological approaches. As a result of the analysis, a methodological model for describing the dialectal linguistic personality was proposed, based on the language, personality, and commonality. This model allows for the explanation of the linguistic characteristics of dialectal units in relation to the speaker’s sociodemographic profile, communicative activity, and territorial-cultural experience.
