The purpose of this work is to evaluate the stress-strain state of cotton threads with a linear density of 29 tex on a sizing machine SHB – 11/140 along the threading width of the sizing machine. The relevance of this work is that the study of the stress-strain state of cotton yarn will allow us to quickly influence the course of the technological process, as a result of which breakage will be reduced and productivity will increase both in sizing and in subsequent processes. Therefore, the primary goals of sizing are to improve the yarn's resistance to friction and high-cycle loads during its passage through the loom, as well as to create the yarn package necessary for the weaving process.
